SOME DAYS, IT STARTS WITH A KEY

Let's make a difficult
moment a little easier.

You do not need a lecture about keeping a spare. You need someone to listen, understand which door you are standing outside and explain what comes next. That is where we begin.

Two decades in locksmith work have taught us to pay attention to the ordinary details. The key is inside, but is the door simply shut or is the lock damaged? You have moved in, but does the building control the entry system? A little care at the start can change the whole job.

At LockReach, the conversation comes before the tools. We discuss the problem, confirm what help is available and explain the proposed work. You should understand the price and the reason for the work before it begins. A rushed day is not a reason to feel rushed into a decision.

BUILT AROUND THE BOROUGH

The Bronx has character.
So do its doors.

The curved entrances and brick apartment buildings along the Grand Concourse are part of what makes this borough distinctive. Behind the front door, the practical details can be just as varied: an older apartment lock, a managed lobby or a shop entrance used all day long.

A shared entrance is not the same as your apartment door. A shop that cannot open has a different problem from one that cannot lock up. We start with the door you actually use and the access you are authorized to change.

Lock repair

Not sure what to ask for?

Start with what happened. You do not need the technical name.

Tell us which door is closed and whether the key is inside, lost or not turning.

See emergency help →

That is a useful thing to tell a locksmith. A key that turns with the door open but struggles when it is closed may be meeting resistance at the frame. A different cylinder will not automatically solve the problem.

Or perhaps nothing is broken. Someone has moved out, a spare is missing or the keys you received came with no clear history. Then the question is about access. Rekeying a suitable lock may be enough to change which key works.

You do not have to diagnose it yourself. Explain what changed, and we will discuss the sensible next step. If you can still get in, dealing with a persistent problem before it becomes a lockout gives you a little breathing room.

YOUR PART OF THE BRONX

Different blocks.
The same careful approach.

Mobile service for Bronx homes, businesses and supported vehicles. Call to confirm availability at your exact address.

A neighborhood name helps us orient the call. A full address helps us find you. If the entrance is on a side street, a service road or inside a managed building, include that detail. For a parked car, the nearest intersection and side of the street are useful too.

FROM THE FIRST CALL

No guessing about what comes next.

01 / TELL US WHAT HAPPENEDThe address, the door, the problem.

We start with where you are and what is keeping you from using the lock normally. For a car, have the make, model and year ready. Mention access restrictions, a shared entrance or anything that affects reaching you.

02 / TALK THROUGH THE PLANAvailability and the proposed work.

Check current mobile availability and ask for an arrival estimate for your location. Discuss expected charges and what may need an on-site assessment. The work and price should be clear before the job starts.

03 / CHECK IT TOGETHERA door you can use again.

Once the work is complete, check the operation from both sides where appropriate. Try the key with the door open and closed. If access has changed, make sure you understand which keys or credentials still work.

WHILE YOU'RE DECIDING

A few useful things
to know.

Straight answers, without the small print.

There is no one-price-fits-every-door answer.

A simple lockout, a damaged mechanism and a lost vehicle key involve different work. We discuss the situation before quoting a scope. Parts, programming and the condition of the hardware can affect the price. Ask what is included and have the proposed work explained before it starts.

Keep the building in the conversation.

For rental apartments, co-ops and managed entrances, check who can authorize changes. A lobby fob and an apartment key are different systems. Identification and your right to access the property also need to be established. If your documents are locked inside, mention that during the call.

An arrival estimate should mean something.

We do not promise the same trip time to every Bronx address. The starting point, traffic and the entrance itself affect the visit. Call for current availability and an estimate based on where you are. If someone is in immediate danger, call 911 first.
